What would it take...
“What would it take”
My sistah, what would it take for me to take it from you and give it back better, ask your self, will it take that frown and turn it in to a cheese if I can prove to you that my wits are sharp as cheddar, and even though I feel butter soft to your touch I’m tough as leather, will that make your burdens light as the air underneath a hummingbird’s feather, would you smile and slightly push me off to the thought that I’m just being clever, then I’d grab you by the hands pull you close to my frame and whisper in your ear; but what if I deliver, your lips quiver, our Spirits tether, I take that back, no, I will deliver, rain, hail, sleet and snow, I’ll come to your door knock on your heart, wait, no don’t look away keep your eyes on my two and let them doubtful tears flow, I’ll catch them all in my palm and cleanse your soul, I know I’m being bold, but I can’t let you go, till you tell me what it would take; to walk you through that threshold, sow a seed and watch it grow, live life whole and leave Earth old. What would it take My Queen… Selah
