Yes, a non-exclusive licensed beat from MgOnTheBeat can be used for one profitable project (album, mixtape, commercial etc.) with a sales limit of 5,000 copies. It can also be used for an unlimited number of live shows or performances.
What does “tracked-out” means exactly?
It means that the raw file version of the beat, including: the kick drum, the snare drum, hi-hats, samples and all instrumentation’s will each come in a separate high-quality WAV audio file, in tracks. This way, you or your audio engineer will have more control over editing, mixing and mastering the beat and the song together or separately.
What is the difference between exclusive rights and non-exclusive rights/ leasing?
Non-exclusive (leasing) rights means that the beat is still owned by MgOnTheBeat. The lessee will be granted limited rights to the use of the leased purchase beat. The lessee can then use the beat for one profitable project only, with the sales gain of up 10,000 physical units, digital downloads and or streams. Exclusive rights grants you full ownership of the beat, except the right to resell the beat to a third party without the consent of MgOnTheBeat. Exclusive rights can be sold to only one party at a time. Once exclusive licenses are sold, the purchased beat is removed from purchase status from our website and inventory. For prices of beat’s exclusive rights, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
After I purchase it, is the beat removed from the site?
Yes and No. Only after the purchase of exclusive rights will a beat be removed from our website. Non-exclusive licensees will not own the beat outright. A non-exclusive license can be sold multiple times, to multiple parties. Exclusive rights ownership are sold one party and will be taken off for purchase status from MgOnTheBeat.
What happens if I've bought a non-exclusive license and later somebody purchases exclusive rights for the same beat?
Nothing happens. As mentioned above by purchasing a non-exclusive license you granted an agreement with the limited rights of use stated above.
What happens if two people buy non-exclusive rights for the same beat?
Nothing happens. As mentioned above by purchasing a non-exclusive license you granted an agreement with the limited rights of use stated above. Each party will have the opportunity to buy Exclusive rights to the beat to eliminate the other from contention.
